It's good that music has captivated you enough for you to consider it as a career path. From your post it's clear you're very involved in music and enjoy helping other people. There is no greater deed one can do than to help people other than themselves. Radio seems like a good path for you, if you can make people happy and keep them interested enough for them to listen to you.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't work for a news radio station. Music would have to be part of my radio career if I'm an on-air personality, and probably even sales. I would love sales, and because I hate being bored, it interests me that I would be dealing with different events and different businesses each day. Even though it's the same thing day after day, it varies in what I'm doing. Being a DJ is also different because one day I could be talking to one artist, and the next I'm talking about something completely different. My only problem with being an on-air personality is I have trouble "talking to myself" and I have to fix that.
ReplyDeleteAfter looking at what you are interested in I think that you have picked the right field. It's good to know that are so knowledgeable about music, this will give help give you an edge when it comes to thinking of properties of music off the top of your head. Your ability to hold a conversation will also help you to be more successful as a radio sales person.
